The evolution of Rangeline started back in 1985 when founder John Rakoczy was introduced to the water works industry. In 1985 he started working for a small water distribution company in Pompano Beach Florida. After working and learning from the water distribution company, John was very intrigued with the water industry and wanted to take his career one step further, so he started working for an underground contractor. This is where he learned to be a pipe layer and how to install materials. Eventually, he would go on to take his career to the next level and work for a tapping company performing taps. With the water industry as his passion, John would go on to start his own company in 1992, Rangeline Tapping. He bought a tapping machine that he saw for sale on the West Coast for $3000 that could do 4”,6” and 8” taps and ran the company out of his 1977 Monte Carlo. Later that year his brother Corey Rakoczy would join him, and the rest is history!
With passion in their hearts along with their hard work and dedication and many key people along the way, Rangeline has established themselves as one of the premier Pipeline Service Specialists in the water and wastewater industry. Rangeline is now 200+ employees strong, over 100 trucks nationwide, and consists of 5 companies to better serve their clients and to help build a stronger infrastructure for tomorrow for our country!
